It doesn’t feel like a year since Billy Connolly visited the Shed and saw the bare ash frames laid out to begin the Skeoch build, but the time has fled by.

On the 14th May we were ready to see if the engine would fire up, and we were relieved to achieve it by spinning the flywheel.

Jones Engineering finished the springs, and Alan Young finished machining the back axle mid-month and a week later Barry Brown reported the wheels ready for collection.

Delivery of all these items sparked a flurry of orders on Patterson Engineering and John Stewart for brackets, clamp plates, and inner hubs, plus sourcing of missing parts for the donated Austin 7 front axle, followed by intense assembly to get the chassis ready for display on June 9th at Orroland.
