The project received a welcome increase in liquidity with a donation from the Bert & Ruth Dunn Trust, plus proceeds from the resale of the unwanted Model T Ford front axle, allowing us to settle outstanding supplier invoices and buy a Ford Model A handbrake lever.

Controls for handbrake, gear change, accelerator, advance/retard and clutch were fitted during the month but a number of problems were revealed. The B&B carb which allowed an engine run back in May was found to stick in the `flat out’ position so it was removed pending us finding a suitable replacement, and there is insufficient space to fit a starting mechanism from a driver side lever to the gearbox, so we are scheming a starting mechanism via the engine flywheel. Choke and engine depressurisation controls are held pending a dashboard to mount the actuators.
