The Skeoch is now being prepped for painting, starting with the driver’s side being flatted down.
Meanwhile thoughts turn to displaying the vehicle when finished. Last month we not only discovered that there will be no Scottish Motor Show in 2021 or the foreseeable future, but that the first display date for the original Skeoch has been misquoted too. The apocryphal first display date is the first day of the February 1921 Scottish Motor Show – we now know the first day of the 1921 Scottish Motor Exhibition was 28th January as shown on the front cover of the Exhibition catalogue. We are probably too late to have the painted car ready for display by 28th January 2021, so we are aiming to have a Dalbeattie town reveal early February, date and venue still to be confirmed.
